<What is Encode Oxford?>
Oxford Encode is a university branch of Encode, a global nonprofit advancing AI safety, governance, and accountability through policy. Encode has had a wide international impact, including:
Organizing bipartisan events on Capitol Hill to advance landmark AI safety legislation, including the TAKE IT DOWN and DEFIANCE Acts.
Co-sponsoring SB 1047, California’s first major AI safety bill.
Contributing to key White House AI initiatives, such as the Blueprint for an AI Bill of Rights and Executive Order 14110.
Authoring a 22-point global AI action plan endorsed by leaders like Daron Acemoglu and Yoshua Bengio.
