Alongside being an associate director of the RAND Centre on AI, Security, and Technology, Michael Aird is a member of RAND Europe's Science and Emerging Technology team and an affiliate of the Centre for the Governance of AI. His prior roles included Research Scholar at the University of Oxford's Future of Humanity Institute and co-founder and co-director of the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy. Michael will be giving a talk on planning your career while maximising your impact, growth, and personal fit. His talks have helped hundreds of people in their transitions to AI safety work and other impactful careers.

When you arrive on Friday, come in through the front door - someone should be there to let you in. If not, feel free to send an email to James Lester ([email protected]). We also recommend that you show up by 6:50 pm to ensure you have enough time to settle in before the talk begins.

If you cannot join us in person at Trajan to watch the talk, you may also consider tuning in virtually from elsewhere.
