Events

OAISI programmes are by application, but drop-in events are open to everyone.

Drop-in

  • If you’re new and don’t know where to start, this is the event we recommend. Meet and chat with OAISI members about AI safety. Boardgames, sometimes. Every Wednesday at 7 pm.

  • OAISI policy seminars cover a wide range of risks from advanced AI. Accessible to general audiences. Every second Thursday, from advanced AI in a way that is accessible for general audiences. Every second Thursday at 5 pm.

Programmes

  • Core Track: A 6-week programme that introduces curious and motivated students to the fundamental concepts in AI safety.

Technical Agendas Track: a 6-week programme run in parallel to the core track, where participants with good context on AI safety dive into technical AI safety research agendas in depth.

  • Technical: A regular meeting for technical AI safety researchers for members to present and get feedback on their research, held weekly on Mondays at 5:00 pm. Applications are rolling. Apply here.

Governance: A regular meeting/reading group for OAISI members interested in AI policy and governance to learn more about the field. Meets alternate Tuesdays, 5:00 pm. Applications are rolling. Apply here.

  • Projects: A weekly group for work on ongoing (research) projects in AI safety, policy and related fields. OAISI can provide a coworking venue, food, API keys and informal mentorship. Feel free to drop into our next session (on our events calendar), and apply for project support via this form.
